| I was wondering whether there was some sort of consensus about which filter people preferred? We all have different sized tanks/fish etc, so what made you decide on the filtration to use? I use Fluvals in bothe the goldies and the trops - not for any reason other than they had an offer on when I was wsetting up my tank for the first time - (see how much research I did!!). I have been lucky though and they seem to do a good job. What do you use? | |

| My AquaOne tanks came with built-in power filters and I've never had any problems with those. For filtration in the other tanks, I too went for the Fluval brand. The new range is great - excellent filter flow, easy to maintain and they even have an anti-clogging mechanism. Bonus. | |

| What model Fluvals do you use Mary - the Plus ones? They have a clogging warning system that is so handy, but the new U ones dont have it any more for some reason. | |

| I have two of the Plus ones. The Fluval 1 (doesn't have the anti-clogging thingy) and the Fluval 2 (which does). The latter will be going in my (eventual) turtle tank. Given their mucky reputation, the clogging indicator should be handy... | |

| I have 2 EX1200's on the big tank & at the moment I'm running a fluval 2 & the juwel filter in the fry tank. Some of the fry are pretty big now so I am thinking of stripping the juwel out & adding an EX700 to that tank. I like the uncluttered look. The heaters are lying behind the rocks | |
