| Hi monty, thanks for reposting this . Can you give us a bit of info? What size tank have you got, has it been through the fishless cycle, what are the exact water test results? Sorry for all the questions but it makes it easier to give you the help you ask for. | |

| monty, you need to have a bit of a rethink about youur tank and your stocking. Cardinal Tetras are shoaling fish and are best kept in groups of no less than 6. Clown Loaches grow to about 14" each and should be kept in a tank of at least 350litres. They should also be kept in no less than 3. Kissing Gourami grow to about 12" (30cm) and are too big for your tank The RTBS are not recommended for a tank where there are smaller fish, like the Tetras. I am sorry to say all this I know when you get the fish from the lfs they are small and look cute, but you have to think of the adult size and what you are going to do with them in a few months when they start to grow. I would advise you to return the fish to the shop you got them from and have a rethink before adding anymore. | |

| yeah, bad mix there pal this clown loach was just a few cm long at one time! Deffo need to change your fish for something a bit more suitable for your size tank. |

| so basically if u aint got a 500L tank stick to neon tetras.
According to Aquarium Week by Week - Maximum adult Clown Loach size is 16CM (6.2in)
Either that was a mutant clown loach or its being fed dog food!!!! | |

| dont worry monty, we all learn from things we do wrong. The shop you bought the fish from should have given you this information. Take the fish back and tell them you are going to do the fishless cycle. Have you read the info on that? If not, have a read up, there's stuff on this forum about it and then you will get loads of help with it too. |
