I've got fish!!!

I fee like a proud parent!! I've just come back with my first lot of fish!

I got ---

4 Cherry barbs
2 Corydoras
5 Harlequin Rasboras
5 Tetras

I've just got them floating in a bag on top of the tank at the moment. I leave them there for half an hour and then add them to the tank is that right?

YAY! After about 20mins add a bit of tank water. Then after another 20ish add a bit more. Then you can let them into the tank Its a bit fiddly that way but is minimum stress

Oh good for you. Although you should probably have at least five corydoras as they do better in a group. Looking forward to seeing the photos.

Well they are all swimming round happily and look really great.

Thanks for the comment about the corys Mary, I'll get anther couple next weekend.

I used to that for hours!

It might sound mad but it's a really good way to get to know your fish - that way, you'll be able to spot any potential problems quicker.

I know it's probably a bit late now but don't tip the lfs water into your tank.
It's not a big major if you have but just good practise not too, just for future
