The green algae on the glas of my tank has grown into some sort of lifeforce!! it is covering nearly the whole of the glass so the fish cant see out, but I am still leaving it alone because according to the info, if you do this it will reach a peak and then die away. I am hoping it must be reaching its peak soon and then will start dying off.

My query is, when that has happened am I ok to go and get some new fish or will I need to wait for a bit? The fish I have are fine, and the green stuff doesnt seem to be bothering them at all and the water stats have stayed fine.

I want to go and get a couple of BN's and perhaps something else, not sure yet.

What do you think?

Well it seems a pretty confident article. If it fails you could try treating with King British Green ALgae Control Very Happy
