I have an a fish which I think about 11L.
I don't have a filter for it, because I got it when I didn't have any clue about fish. It was about a year ago.
I feed it everyday and normal.. But I dont have a filter for the tank and i dont' intend to buy one as it cost a bit of moeny. I do very fequent big water changes and condition the water too.
Here is my tank

Ande here is my fish

I just want to know if my fish will be healthy or not if i dont have a filter. Is it vital i need to get one?
If it is I'll make sure I will get one fish

A lot of people dont put filters in goldfish tanks, but it is better for the fish in my opinion.

You could probably geta filter for that tank for not too much - the Fluval 1 is about £12 or £13.

More importantly, aquanovice - that tank will be small for the goldfish in the long run and it'll only end up stunted which will shorten its lifespan. Keep an eye out for a decent, filtered 30-50L tank and your lovely little goldie will thank you for it. Smile

you need a filter to get oxygen into the water otherwise the fish could suffocate mate, so id go and get one if I were you.
