here Dekker some write up's people has said about it,
might help..............
The Fluval has a much better filter but, personally I think the Juwel is a better looking piece of furniture
which is what these type of tanks are.
What species of fish are you planning to keep and how many is your main deciding point.
If you are going for fish that produce a lot of waste the Fluval should win, but if you are going for the visual effect
of shoaling fish then the Juwel has advantages
Hi, I would definately use a Juwel Aquarium.
They are so much easier to maintain and are better made.
They also now come with t5 light units which give off a lot more lights.
The filters in the juwel tanks are very well designed and give you alot of freedom to fit different filter media into them.
Although if you did want an external filter you can always add one on and the juwel filter can be removed (or run both!)
i would go for the juwel aswell. The high lite system has a big advantage when growing plants
as there is more light and i think the juwel is a little cheaper?
however, eventhough the juwel filters are ok, an external filter is a huge advantage.
The juwel internal takes up space which can be annoying and an external takes up hardly any space, well except cabinet.
Hi there
my vicenza 180 arrived monday morning and i just about finished setting it up today and i have had absolutely
no probs so far.
it is a really nice looking tank, the external that comes with is really quiet aswell.
did you know that there is a built in timer on the light canopy aswell?
I'm really chuffed with it so far and it only cost £300 too!(bargain i thought)
I had the same question about the same two tanks with my lfs.
After a long discussion I went with the Fluval Vicenza 180.
I liked the idea of having the external filter. I did a lot of research and was determined to go for the Juwel
but am glad I made the choice I did.
have the Venezia - corner version of the same tank. The only criticism I had was the ability of the filter to cope properly,
and within 3 months I'd bought a 305 to repalce the 205 it came with. Fortunately I was able to re-use the 205
on a 100l tank which was struggling on an internal, otherwise I'd have been left with a redundant filter,
and the feeling that I'd wasted money.
