| Well, after a visit to a couple of local aquatic shops, I have now got these little fella's swimming happily round the tank - 6 Black Neon Tetra 2 Ram cichlids 6 male Guppys - all different colours, they look great! 6 Adolfo's Cory I am also thinking of getting a couple of dwarf gourami and some sort of catfish but they didnt have any! What do you think of the mix of fish - the fella in the shop said they were all compatible so hope theyre all ok, and I wont be overrun with babies either |

| Oh I bet you're well chuffed!! The mix sounds good to me! The rams - do you know what sort & if they are a male & female? The black tetra may be a bit nippy where the male guppies tails are concerned, (generally it's the broader bodied tetra that are the nippers) just keep half an eye just in case. Keep an eye on ammonia now too Well done | |

| Lovely mix, motsy. I have Black Neon Tetras too and I think they're a nice alternative to the Blue/Cardinal Neons. Despite the similar names, they're all different species though. I've never found them to be nippy although they do chase each other from time to time - as most fish do! Tbh, I wouldn't bother with the Dwarf Gourami. They do look lovely but have short livespans atm. You'd be lucky to get them beyond six months as I, and other people, have found. Still you could always have a go I suppose. You might be one of the lucky ones. | |
