It is about 2" not sure it is gonna make it though - is on it's side in the bag. Water it came in was at 34deg.

Just stuck the airstone in the bag. Do you think he'll be ok with 3 adult opaline gourami till I find a home for him?

He should be, gourami are usually pretty timid - arent they??

Most are but not the Three Spot and its colour variants which include the Golden and the Opaline. The male Dwarfs can be quite bolshy also. IME Pearl Gouramis and Honeys are the most docile.

Well, released it and it is upright so we'll see.

Oscars are a bit stunned though I think clean cooler water is a new thing for them.

any dager it will becaome a tasty lunch for the oscars or are they not big yet?

the more i look at it, the more i cant help thinking it is a form of ram...like a gold ram but different. Ben just walked in & said "it looks like a gold ram"

Hmmm I've had gold rams and they looked stubbier if you know what I mean? It is pretty stressed, it is sort of reddish with blue spots.

Well, tons of oxygen seems to be helping so fingers crossed all 3 fish are perking up a bit.
