Specific Requirements This fish do require a taller than average tank as they can grow higher than most fish. The substrate should be soft and smooth, so as to protect the delicate finnage when the fish are swimming in the lower reaches of the tank, and a good cover of aquatic plants should be provided in order for the fish to feel safe. Pairs can become very territorial when breeding. A large number of colour strains are available.
Compatibility Smaller species like tetras can become a snack for these aggressive eaters! Pairs can become very territorial when breeding.
PLEASE NOTE: That there is another type of angels called Altum Angels. They are much more aggressive towards most fish and should be researched well.
