| I cant believe it but my fish has just died One of the other fish is looking a bit sorry for itself too but hasnt got any marks on it yet. I am sure that it is something they picked up at the lfs and not in the tank here but am worried now that the fungus will spread. Should I carry on treating with the Melafix just in case? |

| Moved and edited for you, Guppy. Sorry to hear that. Are there any other symptoms besides the fungus-like growth? | |

| One looks a bit dodgy but the rest seem to be doing ok. I'm going to add garlic as that seems to be the thing to do on here and carry on with Melafix as wwll. |

| Well, another one has died today . The one the other day definately had some sort of fungal growth on it, but the one today didn't seem to have anything at all. It just started to look ill, stopped swimming and eating and then died today. All the water stats are ok, temp is fine. I dont know what's doing it. Anyone any ideas? Is it worth still dosing with Melafix? |

| when you say the water is fine is uppose you do mean 0-0 do you? if the water is ok then there;s not much you can do but wait and see. Not sure about the melafix but i guess it doesnt do any harm. |

| It;s frustrating when fish get sick and there's nothing you can do to improve things. I hope it all settles down for you. | |

| Guppy, hang on in there mate. I've lost 21 fish to date and the only thing that has kept me going is the fact that those that died prob weren't healthy stock to begin with. But now I have almost 50 healthy fish that are thriving and I'm hoping that will continue to be the case. Just think of it as Natural Selection in action. | |

| Quick update for you. All seems to be settling down now, no more fish look sick or have fungus, all are swimming round the tank and eating, and fingers crossed whatever was the matter with them seems to have gone. Phew! |
