hiya, sorry but I've got another question. I've been doing awater changes all the time to get my tests right and for the past two days I have had ammonia 0, nitrite 0 nitrate 20. Do I still need to add the salt now even though the water is ok?

Oh well done, noobs. Once you have the 0-0 readings for two days running, the cycle is done so you can stop the water changes and salt now.

Sorry noobs but what fish do you have again? If you have mollies yoou might want to add a bit of salt as they like brackish water, but otherwise you can stop now that your water problems have settled

5 neons & 3 platties...? I think
Adding salt will limit what other fish you can add but then the tank is 60L so i guess you wont be adding too many more

Noobs, check with the LFS you got the Mollies from to see if they were used to salt in the tank. I've never added any for my Molly but that's because it was reared in non-brackish water conditions.
