I have just put the lightson the tank - dont need them because I am fishless cycling and the water looks really cloudy! I havent added anything to it except the ammonia so what could be causing it and will it affect the cycle?

Todays results -Ammonia 0.50, Nitrite 1.0, same as yesterday and topped the ammonia up to 4

I think it can happen during the cycle and it's nothing to worry about. It's due to the bacteria building up in the filter and not being able yet to deal with the amount of ammonia in the tank. As it gets more bacteria in the filter, the water should clear - hopefully! Very Happy

So, it's ok just to wait and see what happens, I dont have to do a water change or anything?
