| I am getting more and more brown horrible stuff in my tank. it's covering the sides of the tank and the ornaments too and I keep having to wipe it off. I know it doesnt harm the fish or anything but is there an easy way to get rid of it. i have seen some interpet stuff to get rid of green water, is there anything like that for this brown stuff? |

| Hasn't Mary got that in her tank (sorry Mary if it's not you!). I think it's just a matter of controlling lighting or something. She'll be able to tell you though when she comes on. |

| Oh I have the same horrible stuff but only in my coldwater goldfish tanks and I'm convinced that it's because I only have "faux foliage" in those tanks and I have to clean it off every week. The tropical tanks that are heavily planted don't have a trace of it. | |

| I've got it still in my coldwater tank - it's even on some of the live plants would you believe - and it is a pain, but it's just something that in the ne dyou get used to and just wipe it off the glass etc when you do the weekly water change. As has been suggested you could get a fish that likes to eat it, and there are plenty of them. | |

| I know, and I suppose I do have room in the tank for a few more fish too. Ive been thinking of getting some live plants coz i dont have much in the way of greenery in there at the mo, so praps that might be something to think about. |
