thought i would share the news.

i thought i might share the news of my new fish aswell.
the latest additions to the tank 1x green sev and 1x red horse face
please excuse the photos as they were taken on my phone.



i cant get a good photo of the horse face as he is just to quick.

i'm not sure but i think the second fish might also go by the name of red hump head earth eater but don't quote me on that.

what size tank you have them in.

well that name would explain what this fish does, (he literatly majority of the time sucks up the substrate, swishes it around in his mouth and then spits it out)

there both in a 4ft x 18in x 18in tank

and both are only still young about 3-4inches each

they are both lovely. second fish in the photo is definatley some sort of geophagus i'm not so sure about the red hump head now. i'd need to see the mature fish.

i had a geophagus braziliensis. a most beautiful fish but an axe wielding maniac. i think yours should be ok but keep an eye on any new additions.

At the risk of looking like a numpty, do sevs look a bit like oscars? The pic looks a bit similar or is is just me?

their bodies are a similar shape but the fins are rounder on an oscar.
