So that's -

2 x 450litres
1 x 340litres
2 x 136litres

and a few of about 90 or 45 litres?

How much did ya pay for lovely clown loach?
My friend's been looking everywhere for a resonable priced one

They cost about £6 here for a 2/3" fish mine are all around 6"
definately a fun fish to keep and even better if kept in groups.

Ha! My friends Lfs tried to sell her one about 15 quid (he was big) but still a rip off!

Depending on size £15 wasn't to bad a price,
I would happily give £15 for an 8" clown.

I wouldnt! Why,? when you get a smaller feller-who is bound to grow- for £6?

Yes but to reach 8" you'll have to keep the Loaches at least
2 yrs, think of all the money you'll spend on food.

I'm certainly no expert lol but one thing I will say is
if you have room? don't get one loach get a few,
they do so much better in groups and you'll
have hours of fun watching them.

My Loaches eat mostly anything, sinking granuals like
Tetra Prima, blood worms(frozen) prawn huge favourite,
Cuecumber is a popular choice to.

A good alternative to Clown Loaches for a smaller tank is Zebra Loaches - they are similar colouting but with many more, narrower stripes. They are also lively, playful fish that do best in a group of 4-6.

Cool so whats the minimum tank size for these Clown or Zebra loaches?

Clowns need a lot of space as they can grown to around 12"

Zebra Loaches reach about 4" so a group of 6 can be quite happy in a Juwel 125 for example.

Yay thats the tank i want and i might be getting it I might research z loaches then

Polka Dot Loaches are a great alternative for a smaller tank to,
no to shy, pretty active and fun to watch, here's a few of mine...

Gorgeous fish mike! Used to have a sailfin like that before he outgrew my tank Brilliant photos too i think MC has competition!!
