| Hiya Ant, there are a few fish you could have with a male betta. You should avoid fish like male guppies or any aggressive fish or fish with flowing fins - they betta will mistake them for a rival betta and kill it. Go for neons, plattys, mollies etc - peaceful fish, or even a Bristlenose or other small catfish. I am sure that someone else will have a few more suggestions. | |

| I just have Otos and Amano shrimp in with my Betta. Don't worry about your SFF getting "lonely" - they're a very territorial fish and IMO do quite well on their own. | |

| Do you think a 20litre tank is ok for him them Mary - I might take your lead and just get some shrimp in there but is that too small a tank for that? |

| No that's perfect, Ant. Anything 15L+ is the recommended minimum size for a Betta so he'll have lots of room in a 20L | |
