| Just seen 4 platty babies swimming round - I hadnt even spotted that any of them were pregnant.
Does anyone know how often female plattys can have babies? |

| AFAIK approx. every 6-8 weeks as the female can store sperm for up to six months, I believe. Congratulations, Grandma...:lol: | |

| I'll probably take them all to the lfs again - I did with the last lot.
I am not sure how many boy and girl plattys I have and not sure how to tell the difference. There are a couple of them that seem bigger than others, but how would I definately sex them? |

| It was a quick learning curve when I first got my tropical fish I had platys and within a few weeks I had loads lol I finally found homes for them all as shops round here will not take fry off people. I would seperate male and femal as quick as you can as Mary is right my last femal platy had 6 lots of babies even after she was seperated from the males  |
