I had my first unexplained death of the year 2010 today. The victim was a black ghost- at first I thought it was 'lying down' as described by some websites- but unfortunately it was dead Sad

It wasn't attacked by any other fish and the remaining three ghosts are quite peaceful

The last death before this one was my amano shrimp (about six months ago) that one just died of old age...

before that was a small rainbow shark which was literally bullied to death by its bigger mate- unfortunately my mom bought them for me without reading up on their behaviour first :/

three dead fish so far. is that bad or good? how often do you guys end up with a dead fish (or shrimp or snails or anything) ??

I find it tends to go in phases. I havent had a fish death for ages but went through a period when I had loads for no apparent reason.

If you tank temp is ok, and the water quality is ok, anfd there hasn't been an outsid reason for any contamination etc, then i am afraid you just have to put it down to one of those things
