| Hey Everyone, As most of you know, I have a 125 gallon custom build on order, 5 x 2 x 2, and would like some suggestions on stocking it. I have around 40 harlequins which I am putting in, but what do you think should go in with them. Please bear in mind that I plan to run the tank with 2 Tetratec EX 1200 externals which I can get for £55 from tetratec direct. I am considering either some larger fish to go with the harlies, OR, keeping the harlies in the tank they inhabit now, and going for something different. If the harlies go in, their shoal will be at least doubled to make it look like there is life in the tank. And my beloved clown loach Bodgit is going in too. What does everyone think? |

| I'd stick with the harlies, a really big shoal would look great in a tank like that! | |

| Hey Rob, I dont have them but how about some cichlids. the photos in some of the threads on here have been brilliant and they look a great fish and loads of variety too. dont know if they need special water conditions or wat but you could fit some in your new tank i would think. |

| If I was you, I'd also add another 4-5 clown loaches to keep Bodgit happy. | |

| Well its 125 gallons so if I kept discus i could have 12 fully grown adults. And theyre pretty big. Or i could have a shoal of sharks? Or if i go for the load of harlies there will be about 150 in there and the clowns. The LFS said i could have my pleco back if they havent sold him when I get my new tank. So i dunno what to stock it with? Maybe a load of harlies and a few clowns and maybe some neons or something? What do you think? All advice welcome! Hehe |

| I think a big shoal of harlies, some plecs and something that would visit all areas of the tank - barbs, tetras etc would look great. | |

| if it were me i would be looking at some colour in their the clowns, harlies (as i know u like them), barbs (coloured ones), i would go for a L200 green phantom pleco/any other pleco, and possibly things that are out of the question with small tanks like silver sharks, a nice cichlid (one that is calm) if it were me tho i would be looking @ a cichlid tank for the blue dolphins etc and keep the other tank for harlies | |

| According to MC you can't mic cichlids in an ordinary tank so that may need a rethink. |

| Im considering my 150 harlies, 2 or 3 silver/bala sharks and a couple of clown loaches. I think that will add a nice diversity but i dont want your average joe community tank if you know what I mean. So im thinkin the harlies are the focal point and a couple of sharks cos the ones my LFS has are tiny and so should grow out ok with the harlies. They have been known to eat little ones but i reckon with small sharks growing up with harlies my risk should be minimal. Hehe |

| I dont want anything thats gonna eat the harlies and have decided to stick to my 'wouldnt touch devilfish with a barge pole' philosophy. (angels are devilfish btw). Im gonna go as above, 150 harlies, 3 bala sharks and my clowns, possibly get barry the pleco back from the lfs. Decided, thanks for your ideas guys! |
