you can get phosphates from water changes etc if the water you use is supplied by lfs (have heard a few like this)

how often do you change the media ?

best for hair algae is a sea hare as it is an eating machine but once the algea has gone then it will starve to death so either a loan or pass on system is a good idea
blue knuckle crabs are another good one
algea blenny is a good addition if you have the bio capasity to add one

media like rowa phos has a max it will remove then it needs chaging depending on the ammoun in the tank it coulb be every 2 days to every 2 or so months

when cleaning algea off run a filter with sponges in it in the tank to remove the algea that you have just cleaned

Thanks K

I change the media about once a month
its only a small peice that floats in the top of the back chamber
and I do get the water from lfs.
I will get some more phos remover, and change filter media asap.
dont want to buy more fish etc, as when the clowns have gone I want to sell up.
