done water change this afternoon and found that my heater is broke so first thing
in the morning off to get a new one - this is in the 240 lt and heater is a 300 watt
so have got my fingers crossed my fish will be ok - ho yeah spare is also faulty tantrum

so not a happy chappy tonite

At least you noticed it wasnt working dekks. They should be ok because it doesnt get that cold of a night yet so hopefully all will be ok. You could always put a duvet on the tank to keep them cosy Smile

thanks guys going to get two i think then i will have a new spare
its sods law that the spare is faulty - hopfully this will not happen again

Are you definitely sure it was broken? I thought the one in my 165L had stopped working when the temperature had dropped to 24C but a couple of hours later, I noticed it coming on again... broken heater 876616

have a search of the site to find heatr saving tricks if you need too.

That volumne of water will hold its own heat for a good while and as said - its quite mild atm

no way round having to dent the wallet tho - but ho hum - part of fish keeping I suppose. Coild be worse - could be broken tank Surprised
