| Id love some oscars (a pair) but alas - dont (currently) have the space for a tank thats big enough for them to live in happily You are aware of just how powerful (in strength) an adult oscar is right? NOTHING is safe - and I mean NOTHING (have spare heaters ready Lovely fish - i will have them one day | |

| I do have a spare heater but in this tank the heater and filter are encased in a black plastic compartment if you look at some of the pic's you maybe able to see it its on the right.so safe there. the only damage he can do is maybe up root the rubber bubble curtain i have just put in. it has got weights on it buried in the gravel. plus i have heard they can burst through the tank if thin glass. i'm hoping that this tank is the thicker glass. but big plastic bucket and pink net on the ready.. this is why i really dont want anymore fish in there. i couldn't cope with a couple of 12 inch fish..lol plus they might fight or worse mate |

| If you want a fish to break the tank - get a Pacu The only way ive heard of oscars damaging glass is by accident - that is to say when theyve been moving rocks n stuff around the tasnk - they damage the glass that way As fo mating - why would this be a problem - oscars are great parents - very little work for you to do and id imagine oscars are fairly easy to sell on anyway - if all else fails - keep elvis in your bath - I assume you dont mind sharing the bath | |

| Dear Elvis, I am sorry to see that your owner is still being so mean to you, although I do like the new look of your tank tbh, but I dont have to live in it do I? It just isn't right, but I think I have a plan that will help you get your revenge. I have seen on YouTube a video of a fish a bit like you (but not as handsome of course!), where the fish leaps out of the water and bites the owners hand at feeding time. You could do this at regular intervals - not all the time but just now and again so she wont expect it. Have a bit of a practice, but make sure you dont bang your head on the lights, that wont help at all. Hope that helps. | |
