Well The other female has just left the other cave with what looked like a dust ball around her looking closer there must be over 30+ fry with her!!!

Im now unsure what to do as the fry i first sighted has moved from the coconut with mum to near the Hydor aerator (this is unpluged as the fry will get sucked into it)

I got 3 options:

1 - leave them in the tank with mum

2 - try and catch them and put in the mesh breeding trap i got

3 - try and catch them and put them in the little 18L tank I have but its not set up as of yet (its squeezed under the shell tank atm)

I'd leave them. As long as the parents are doing a good job then leaving them should be fine. Once they are 'free swimming' and not as dependant on Mum then I'd move them to the little tank.

about how long till free swimming?

not sure, 10 days or so. I like to leave the kribs 3-4 weeks as they don't tend to spawn again until the fry are removed so the longer I leave them the more rest the female gets.

well both females have spawned which is nice....ill see how they get on over next week.

Aah GD, thats a shame, sorry about that. At least they have spawned once though so it can happen again and perhaps you will be luckier then.
