Bought 2 more plecs!!

OH NO!!!! Whats going on?? lol as i moved the 2 plecs into the big tank my other tank is COVERED in the green stuff (algae lol). So off i went to fish shop and got...an adult albino bristlenose (the black eyed one) and some kind of black and white loach which i thought was cute!!

also with the plecs going my tanks covered in snails!! no new plants of anything been put in tank so m conclusion is that my plecs liked to eat baby snails!!

Wish my BN's would find an appetiti for baby snails. When I came back from holiday the tank had loads of them!!

the black and white striped loach i bought, i cant remember the name of! it has rounded, circular fins on its sides if that helps? it only grows about 6-8cm??

Just looked them up and if it is one of these phishy they need some pretty specific care to thrive - cooler temp, highly oxygenated water and plenty of flow.

just looked at pic of one and its DEFO not one of them. Its black and white striped, and its fins are rounded, but theyre not as big as that.

Latin name: pseudogastromyzon fasciatus? Its a type of hilllstream but different! Have a photo in my fish book! Will try and get it here tomorrow! Might be on google

It is a GARRA not a loach at all! Possibly 'Garra Flavatra'

Oh that's a nice looking fish indi - what have you managed to find out about them - do they grow huge and eat all their tankmates??

no they only grow a few inchs diana, but i dont think mine has the extra fin under the tail or side of the tail, you can see it has 3 fins mine hasnt? unless its male or female in the pic?
