Can someone tell me how they keep all the fiddly bits clean?? I mean things like the gravel vac tubing, filter nozzles, and even the ornaments. What do you use to clean all these bits and how often do you do it - my gravel vac tubing is really getting mucky now and I dont want to pass anything onto the fish.

I clean the gravel vac with hot water, or soak it in a bit of bleach and then rinse it really thoroughly. The filter nozzles and other fiddly bits I either clean with a cloth or a toothbrush.

I use a double ended wire brush attached to flexible tubing which just pulls through all the various pipes and does a great job.

I just run it under the tap after Ive used it and it seems to be ok.
