| i noticed this morning that two of my angels were as i thought eating algae off my uv sterelizer tonight there are hundreds of eggs all over the uv thats a first for me the two that have paired up are the biggest angel i had first and the black one they have chased everything away from the uv lucky it is on the end of tank which still leaves room for the rest of the fish the thing is i also have another angel which is stunning its silver and black at the moment its with the rest of the fish on the other side of the tank i dont know what to do about the angel also i can't move the eggs to another tank as they are all over the uv any ideas please also what are the chances of the eggs hatching ? | |

| Oh alison, that is great = spring must be in the air (or water :lol: ) I have no experience of this, but from what I have read it is not very common for angelfish fry to survive in a community tank - either the eggs or the fry end up getting munched. are the eggs white or transcluscent and how long have they been there? I think they hatch after about a week dont they? Sorry I dont have any more useful info for you. | |

| the eggs look creamy in colour they were not there this morning (was up before 6 have got sinus infection ) i noticed them tea-time even the clowns and my plec are having to shift at the moment as soon as they go near the angels are after them | |

| Would there be trouble with the other angel, once two have paired up how do they usually tolerate the remaining outsider? | |

| well this morning about 15 eggs have turned white the two angels are still keeping everything away from the eggs one of them even had a go at the big plec as he is under a log very near to the uv but he didnt take any notice of them the other angel is keeping away from them on the other side of the tank so will be watching closely to make sure eveything is ok | |

| well got up today and all the eggs are gone the angels are acting normal now towards everything in the tank so thats that until the next time | |
