sexing corys

I was hoping to go and get a couple more corys this weekend but havent been able to, but will do next week probably. Just a couple of questiions though.

How do you sex corys - do they have to be kept in ratio, like guppies?

Do they breed easily?

Is my tank big enough for more of them?

If I do go and get a couple more, would they have to be kept seperate for a while in case they have a disease? I dont have a second tank they could go in so what does everyone do about that or have you all got spare tanks?

Very hard to sex!! They must be kept in a large group, if so they should lay eggs! What type do you have??

AFAIK the only way to sex them is from overhead - the females have a slightly wider body than the males I believe.

I would imagine they know!!

I had a group of 4 females to 2 males and only ever had eggs in 12 once in 12 months they did hatch but died as I wasnt prepared for them. Think it also depends on the type of cory mine were albino.
