Lovely fish, especially the gold severum, beautiful. The severums look quite a size, how big are they?

By the way, what is the substrate, are you using leaf?

Are they suitable for use in a general comm tank OwNz, and how often do they need replacing? I wonder if my corys, loaches and BN's would appreciate some of them?

what i do is boil them for 25 mins with a bowl i nthe bucket to make sure they are sunk otherwise they float....

then i place them in the tank where you want them and i dont remove them for 5 weeks later i get a bag of 50 they are really cheap and loaches / corys love them i have them in my cory breeding tank and they are laying eggs on them every 2 days....

here is where i buy them from mate :

hope this helps diana

It does - I wouldn't have thought to have boiled them! I'm going to order some later and some of the food too. Thanks for the link Smile

yea it just makes them sink faster is you put them in the float thats all but if you boil them they will sink can leave them longer then 25 min i usally do it a day before a water change....

also these relise tannins into your water what is also proven to be good for your fish.
i will be ordering more later too i ran out lol
