Since the first few days of our holiday had miserable weather, I managed to get a visit to an aquarium - the Sealand Aquarium in Noirmoutier. We had to drive across the Passage du Gois to get there. This road is below sealevel and flooded at high tide as you can see in the second photo. So we had to turn back and cross over via the bridge. Fun times. crazy

Although I took loads of photos in the aquarium, most are of the usual species so I just wanted to post the more interesting ones - mostly marine species but what the hey! If I say it's ok in here, then it is... fighting

Matthew and J.J. get up close and personal with some Scorpion fish and a catfish species.

My favourites - the Moray eels. Fabulously sinister looking... Twisted Evil ...plus an underwater photo of the Sealions.

There was a Sealion show which was very entertaining. The female in particular was very agile - playing ball, twirling hula hoops and stealing her trainer's hat. laughing

Great phootoo's Mary, looks like thats a great place to visit. I love in the pic pf the road under water there is a road sign on the right of it showing a car skidding laughing

Those eels are VERY menacing - especially the one just just half way out of its little hole!

I know! There was another one showing a car plummeting into the water - very reassuring. laughing

They were so cool. That one stayed like that for ages just opening and closing its mouth with a very steely glint in its eye... Shocked
