Greedy Snails

For those of you wondering whether adding cucumber helps to remove aquatic snails, here's what I took out of my (non-planted) BiOrb this morning. There were as many again on the underside.

Snails have a great sense of smell - so if there is nothing else for them in the tank in terms of plants - the strong whiff of cucmumber is a real highlight in their lives

A bit like using beer or cider in the garden to catch snails - althugh so far ive oly ever trapped students with this method
