I cant tell a great difference in colour from the last test it is only "slightly" darker. Even if its inbetween 2 & 4ppm Id rather leave it there than overdose the tank which is maybe why everything stalled last time

rather not - as I stil had a lot of crap floating around from the unclean gravel Razz Had to clean out my filter good and proper.

Got some nice new pipes coming in the post as the ones for my external are full of gunk stuck to the insides.

So id of rather not clogged ur filter up also Razz

But a nice thought thank you. However Id of accepted some foam to whack in my filter to help speed up the process

Crewe is around an hour away

Well... if needed, give me a pm/email. I can submerge this filter in some tank water in a poly box to keep it warm & meet you. You could whip the foam out & squeeze all the crud into your filter.
It's a shame I couldn't do it with one of the ex1200's, that'd definitely sort it out, lol.
You could get a police car to bring it even quicker, surely they wouldn't mind a blue light thrash down the A500

HAHA atm I aint at work till Friday but I may go get a sick note with having my eyes lasered Razz

that may be an idea MC - Would I just squeeze the gunk into the canister? or would i put it in a certain basket? I got an EX700

Water test this morning:

Nitrite 2ppm
Ammonia 1ppm

So I should just leave it and not dose any more?

You need to keep dosing it up to 4 GD, otherwise the bacteria dont have anything to feed on and they will die.

Well dosed 2.5ml of Ammonia - checked and it looks between 2-4ppm

However I checked my Nitrates and it was yellow'ish either 0 or 5 ppm

one thing I have learnt - Ill NEVER do a fishless cycle again
