I will try & get a pic. She was only holding for 15 days, she should of held for more like 28. They still have their eggs sack on their tummies and are soooooo tiny. The mpanga we thought was over 28 days wasn't.
We fished her out while the rocks were out and moved her & she spat an egg out, so we quickly put her back in the main tank.
She must of lost the others & was holding a fresh lot! She will be ready in another couple of weeks i'd guess.
We're going away on sat for a week so i'm hoping the babies will be ok with alternate daily feeding by my Mum Very Happy
We have the fuelleborni that's in my avatar due the day we get back, she is quite big so lots expected from her.
We now have 14 Interruptus fry, 11 Mpanga, 6 Labs & 17 Fuelleborni.

Just imagine how rich I could be if I sold them at the lfs prices of around £8 each...£400 !!!

Just thought... one of the mpanga spat an egg yesterday & wouldn't pick it up. It's sat on the bottom of the fry tank...wriggling Shocked

It's a little yellow egg with a tiny tail & 2 eyes. It's about the size of a pin head & impossible to photograph but i did get a pic (very blurry) and have enlarged it to show you. It's well weird

That's a good set up you have there MC, are you hoping to go into breeding fish or is this just a casual thing? I guess with cichlids there is a better chance of selling them than with things like gupps, plattys and the rest of the commonstuff Very Happy

Thanks guppy. I think the fish are making me go into breeding, lol. They're always at it. Got back from 2wk hol yesterday...trying to spot who is holding and who isn't, it's tricky. God knows when they will be due to spit.

The babies in the fry tank have grown loads while we were away. Will try & update with some recent pics soon Smile
