How much of a water change can you do when cycling the tank? I am changing about 20% a day and doing a gravel vac onvce a week, but the ammonia and nitrite are still not getting doen to 0 and I have now lost 2 fish.

Can I change more of the water? Will that make things happen a bit quicker else i will lose all my fish!

sorry. It's a 90 litre tank, set up at the beginning of Feb with 6 Guppies.

Todays readings are Ammonia 0.50 (that's gone down from 1.0), Nitrite 0.50 (that's gone up a bit), havent checked nitrate.

Out of 6 guppies I now have 4 and another one is looking ill and hanging at the top of the tank all the time and not moving much.

I have cut down on feeding lately after following advice on here.

I'd say do 50% daily water changes and keep the feeding reduced. You could also add half a teaspoon of dissolved salt after each daily water change. That will help with the effects of the nitrite.
