PostSubject: Cycle Update   cycle - Cycle Update Icon_minitimeMon Feb 04, 2008 11:38 pm

Ok so I started the cycle on 18th Jan,

Todays results
Ammonia 0 yay
Nitrite 3
Nitrate somewhere between 2 -5

is this the Nitrite spike ans so should I just does up to 2 now on the ammonia or keep dosing to 4 for a bit longer.

Also the water is still a bit cloudy, when will this clear. Also do I have to test the Nitrate now too? Very Happy

It's looing good Fishfan Very Happy . I never had much of a Nitrite spike with my cycle, but if I were you I would keep dosing to 4 for another couple of days and see if it goes up any more. Then you will be able to reduce down to 2-3ppm

Dont worry about the water being cloudy - you will be changing it when the cycle is finished anyway. You can start testing the Nitrate, it will give you something else to keep an eye on,
