| Oh that's great news - get that camera charged again!!! Why are you changing the sand MC? It puts the pH up doesn't it? | |

| Sorry.. just edited above & added pics, you're too quick for me! Yes, we can't get the pH up so we have changed to coral sand in the hope that it'll help. Think we might need to add some epsom salts to get the KH & GH up a bit. Then, hopefully the pH will go up. I'm not 100% sure i like the new stuff but i'll have to get used to it. My sand looked all neat & clean, this looks all bitty Sand Coral sand | |

| I like it too - looks lovely, M.C. Was it a pain to change the sand or did you just add it on top of the other stuff? | |

| We took half the rocks out & used a fine net to get a lot of the sand out then used the syphon to suck the rest up. Swapped the rock over to the other side & did the same. Took about 1½ hour to do with a few buckets & an 80L bin to hold the rocks, including a 50% water change. It took longer to wash the new stuff. Water is crystal clear now so it was worth it. I was finding that the fish swim around with their mouths full of sand & when they spit it through their gills, with it being so light it was floating for ages. | |

| Here she is today, she will be due around next Sunday so we'll move her this week. You can just about see one of the fry in her mouth. She's getting very irritable, she keeps rubbing her chin on the sand..poor little girl | |
