So I have this sole goldfish (patrick) who looks fine, and is eating fine, but spends 90% of his time 'mouth breathing' at the top of the tank. He sort of gulps for air and then spits out bubbles.

Now, all water stats are fine, water temp is good, and I have a spray bar directed so it agitates the surface of the water. If I change the directionality of that too much the patrick gets blwn around the tank which I dont think is a good thing.

Do you think the mouth breathing is just normal behaviour or something wrong - by the way I have a bubbley thingy i the tank too which I put on fro time to time too.
