| Have you checked your water stats kt? If thety are ok, and you havent added any new fish that might have taken a disease or illness into the tank, then it could well be just one of those things. Its always a bit frustrating when that happens. I always do a good tank clean after this happens - water change, filter, gravel vas etc. It probably doesnt do anything but it makes me feel as though I am doing something constructive! | |

| Sadly - fish are not immortal - and if memory serves me correctly - your current stock were given to you so I suppose you dont really know how old they were anyway.
It could have been a case of the dead fish got into a fight and got injured and the gouramis saw an easy dinner - ive seen it in my tank - once the community gets a sniff of a wounded tank mate - its soon a feeding frenzy.
Just an idea but if the water stats are fine (and heater and filters are fine) then its a case of an unknown cause - very annoying I know but a part of fishkeepoing im afraid | |

| Oh that's a shame, K but it's often difficult to tell exactly why a fish dies. I found my Fantail dead last week for no apparent reason. I hate the unexplained deaths the most... | |
