| Thanks Guys. I Was going to put it at the side of the chimney brest other side to E. But where I sit I only get to see half of the tank and with my eyesight, all I See is 2 orange blobs swimming. Now I Wish I had put E's tank right up to the window wall like I was going to. and both tanks would have gone in the 1 alchove. I don't want to Empty E's tank now and put him through all that again, he hates me for it anyway... Theres no way I could empty that now. Now the only other place is where my computer is as I Have the desk top on a stainless computer table, hard drive underneath, along with printer.scanner. my screen is 19 inch.then theres the keyboard, and there is nowhere I Can think to put it. Except sell the lot and buy a laptop.then the new tank would be between me and Malc. I Have put a pick below so you can see where I mean. I can only have the settee's this way, as on the right is the door the window you see goes right across, as does the front window I need a bigger house... |

| Hi chez, I'm impressed next question,i was going to sell the 200L tank when i got the 450Ltank,but if i kept the 200L tank could i turn it in to a marine tank and if so would i have to get holes drilled in it for filters etc.also could i use the flueval 205 ext filter. |

| No you dont have to have it drilled. buy you will have to cut a peice out of the hood to fit a skimmer in.
you would have to get marine lights. for the corals anemone these lights have to be on about 10/12 hrs a day.. usually people do a sump For bigger tanks. they use a (small tank) with rubble/loads of live rock in.
2 "power heads, coral sand. loads of money. you will need cooler fan too
yes you can use your external pump you dont have to put anything in it. just use as a filter.but the powerhead does all the movement for you.
you can put carbon and phospate remover in it this removes the phospate. if you write in your main search box sump or google it, you can read about it. but I Think these are for bigger tanks.
Like I Am taking all the stuff out of my new tank and putting in.carbon and phospate remover and a polishing cloth (the white pad) but this will have to be taken out and changed.
most tanks can be converted,I was thinking of doing this with the roma90. before I sold it.
All different from tropical as you keep there bacteria.
Dont forget your live rock is a filter.so the more you buy the better.. |

| Hi chez,i was looking on a marine web site that had info on converting tanks, they were saying that you could keep cost down by having live rock and fish but no corals, therefore no need for special lighting or sump, although i would not be able to keep creatures plants etc that need corals, had some pic of tanks with just live rock and marine fish still looked good, what do you think.ACER |

| Acer have you seen the Immitation ones. I bought some yesturday, very nice, and very effective and even sway in the water movement. plus you will be saving the marine enviroment. I prefer the coral frags to Anemone's not so much looking after, as most feed themself's.this is where your power filter comes in. you have to feed Anemone.with a turkey baister into there mouths, or they will die they need flow, and you have to know what ones you can have, as some can be harmfull, and even kill your fish, so at the end of the day although they look nice you have got more work. but I guess its a matter of choice.. Acer lots of Q's you got the bug... ?????? come into the dark side with me whooooo |

| and to think all this started becase you wanted a single species tank It has led to twenty different tanks for E, the curse of the pink net, complete re-design of your living room, repetative strain injury for your OH after sticking a tom of rocks on a bit of plastic, and now, a new computer! E has a lot to answer for | |

| Thanks Dave,
l@@king close at the live rock all the time.
we have had a bit of a set back.... I Noticed the water was very cloudy, on further inspection down at the bottom of one of the chambers at the back we had left a plug in still in plastic wrapper First mistake, so only one filter has been working, still is until we are sure all the wiring has dried out,Malc changed the plug so now its just dangaling at the back with no cover on. Note to anyone reading this and thinking of getting one CHECK ALL CHAMBERS..... |

Aparently if Apistas are allowed to grow rather large they can eat fish (I am not sure how true this is but someon on PFK forums seemed to loose a clown fish to an Apista the size of a cricket ball) Jeez. they sound gross then! I never thought that what looks like a bit of bad algae could get that out of control. It's like the Creature from the Black Lagoon | |

| Just a Update.
going to get a heater tomorrow the same as Elvis's unbreakable we got one with the tank but think its too big, 200watt.the water is very hot. also these ones a light starts flashing if it goes up or down a couple of degree's I hve started transfering some of the live rock out of the marine tank to the new one only a couple of peices. don't want to upset the balance. Malc plugged the other plug in to day now its dried out. we will move some more rock over tomorrow then move fish sat. when we have checked both stats in tanks. I will swop water over in both tanks though before doing it.to try and match both tanks.and make sure temp is identical. bought one of those digital temp meter and we will make sure both tank readings are the same.
