I just found out today I won a Fluval u2 from a competition i entered god knows how long ago.

Anyone have any idea on the prices for the cartridges inside the filter?

Thanks!

Good old Aquatics Online. My favourite website for fishy supplies. Smile

Hi GD - CONGRATULATIONS!!

I have recently bought a Fluval U4. The cartridges are already in them when you purchase it.

The instructions do say that they need to be replaced every few months but I would ignore that and just replace them when the foam starts to fall to bits. You can take the carbon ones out anyway and just use them when you have used meds etc, and the little hoopy things never need to be changed really, despite what the recommendations are - it;s where the bulk of your bacteria willl live anyway so why would you want to replace them.

It seems a good filter though and the built in spray bar is quite a good idea Smile
