| Well, yesterday was a busy day. I decided to strip down the fry tank & give it a good clean (anticipating new arrivals) I removed all the gravel, rocks & airline & gave it all a thorough clean.
I then had a burst of energy & decided to do the same with the cichlid tank! (Mad) I removed ALL the rock, cleaned to external filter pipes & spraybars then caught the fish that were holding...
1 socolofi, 2 mpanga, yellow lab & 2 fuelleborni. The lab & one of the mpanga spat their eggs out in the bucket so we have them suspended in a net with an airstone underneath to keep them moving (about 20 eggs with eyes & tails!)
Ben stripped the fuelleborni, socolofi & mpanga and they had about 50 fry between them who are happily swimming around in the newborn section of the fry tank. There must be over 100 fry in there now  Will be needing another tank soon, lol | |

| Well it's hard to get any sort of focus on the newborn fry, i'll have a go in a bit. The others are a few weeks old now, the interruptus have overtaken the labs in size! They are doing really well & all come up to feed when we tap the lid  The eggs look ok today, still bobbing about in the net...they seem to be getting heads now, lol | |

| Removed 4 eggs that had turned white & squirted them in the sink. The yellow yolk popped I'm happy to say that the others have started to turn into fish now, they have heads & eyes & their tails are coming! I know you're gonna want pics...i'll go try now | |

| OMG - Those little eggs with eyes! How cute! What are they in MC - a net? Also, what happened to the first pic - did you delete it or is there a problem with it? Thanks for posting these | |

| Diana... they are in the smallest net we could buy. We were ransacking cupboards trying to find something to put them in. The net is trapped in the lid to hold it in place over the airstone. I deleted the 1st pic from photobucket, it looked identical to the 2nd one | |

| Well... a quick update. We only have about 15 fry left, they must of squeezed through a gap at the side of the divider & got eaten by the fry that are growing on in the other side The eggs have hatched & i have left them in the net swimming about. They still have little egg sacks on their tummies but they are actually fish now I'm amazed that they made it! | |

| I know, these fry are my next lens fund! Need more, need more, need more........... I'm just wondering wether to set the empty 30L up & move the bigger fry into that for a bit until I sell them then the small babies can have the ¾ of the fry tank & the eggy ones can have the ¼. At least becoming lunch isn't an option then | |
