| I was just wondering, is this definately a male. I think it is but he is so much smaller than his tank mate and has barbels that are a lot shorter I thought I'd check! | |

| Looks like a male but then, I thought mine was a female so I'm obviously no expert. | |

I'll try and get a full frontal photo indi, I cant really answer that question at the mo, I just know he has got a lot less than the other one who is very bristley. | |

| In a male the bristles will be round and up the front of his face/nose a female may have some bristles but normally shorter and only around her front lip. From that pic I'd say he looks male but a front shot could confirm. | |

| Well it is either a very hirsute female or a second male - and even if he was follically challenged, I would now know it was a male because the senior of the two hates him with a passion and chaces him all round the tank if junior dares to enter his 'patch' | |

| My males used to be the same towards the female, it got so bad I was considering rehoming one, anyway, I shifted soome bogwood etc to the opposite end of the tank and the problem was cured, I left the arrangement like this for a week, and put everything back how it originally was and all is fine now, they do squabble when I put in veggies, but again, i put in two pieces some distance apart n all is cosey in waterworld once again | |
