I need to down scale my tank temporarily i have 7 barbs, 2rams, 1frog, 1dwarf puffer, 1 malawi chiliid, 1 ruby shark, 1 gourami, 1 panchax, 1 loach, 1 pleco and a humbug catfish. What do you recommend the smallest tank i could have these fish in?

sounds like you have a few fish there mate what size is your current tank

To avoid problems, given the mix you have with shark, cichlidd, panchax etc you can't go small really. I don't know what size tank you have now but I wouldn't go smaller than 200litres I don't think.
