Hermit crabs and shells

I Never thought i would be posting in this thread
now ventured on the dark side....lol
I Was advised to get some shells for the hermit crabs
so we got some today.
I Have been sat here watching them its so funny
exploring the shells just like us women in a clothes shop
going in trying them on.
its hilarious watching them,they have a l@@k
then go round the tank then come back.for another try on.
up to now i think they are all too big. but we will see.
bet they think i have put mansions in..

That sounds wonderful, chez.

AFAIK though, the shells should just fit over the crab's body as they need to be able to haul them around, if necessary.

Why do I have a mental image of a hermit crab sweating with the effort of carrying round a conch shell ?

Me too.

Well after alot of trying on and deciding one of the hermit crabs has decided
which house he's having pic below of him carring it away. looks like
he's off to a better housing estate.
well at least I can see him now in his shiney new shell
the other one is more picky, not decided as yet which one....

here he is climbing up the rock.
if you look close at the front the black shell is his empty old house.lol
