Am back!! lol

I know i said this last time, but im back...again lol!!

I have like a million platys and nowhere to put them, gettin a bigger tank next week (which will b free...the BEST kind!! lol) but theyre breeding like theres no tomorrow!!

Anyone want any platys?

Maybe give the platys to your LFS. They might not give you money for them but maybe you could wangle a bit of store credit?

hell - if youve got that many - the fact the lfs will take them would be a bonus - some lfs blankly refuse to take any form of livebearer.

I just put my swordtail fry into their own tank today - I lost count at 50 (from 1 female) and the other is now preggie

So either the lfs has them - or I acquire a tatse for swordtail steaks

as far as I know - most lfs would rather give you goods than cash - namely end of date food - dont expect to 'gain' in any way from livebearers tho

Im considering advertising them for free in local paper - although I suspect many will be feeder fish which tbh im very much against but the same fate probably lies if they goto LFS

ebay - or online in general - you will no doubt get the same from an lfs but cheaper online

is it for a particular make/model tank? seeing as you know the measurements - you could look around online for a suitable stand or pets at home do them quite cheap

all depends on what you want - but im sure there are some bargains on ebay to be found

ebay sounds like your best bet phishy hope you get sorted with a stand for your tank.

haha going from Piranha women to platy women...quite an achievement I must say

Been to look in P@H and stand is about 80 quid for size tank i want, but going to pinxton and to my trusted LFS at the weekend, see if i can get any cheaper. To be honest, I expected a bit more than this and for the size tank and cabinet, 80 quid not bad lol

First thing I wanna get again though is spotted climbing perch, might get a few, LOVED my little man I had!! Would it be compatible with RTBS though??

Sharks only tend to have a go at their own kind - and willonly briefly chase an intruder (depending on what it is and how posessive your shark is)

Hiya! I've been away a while too. Sorry you had to give up your fish but glad you are getting a bigger tank again. Hope you find another Perch (loads in LFS up here!) my 4 are still living happily in my 5ft all about 4.5" and a bit ...um..fat.
