| Loaded, LMAO only with fry. It would be nice to sell them for £8 each like the LFS does. We have about 110 fry now | |

| I didnt know you had that many minchy - that's great. Shows how happy your fishies are doesnt it? Have you got a shop lined up that will take them off your hands or are you going to build an extension onto your house | |

| Munchy, did you set out to become a breeder of fish, or has it just happened? I mean, did you deliberately buy the right numbers of male/female of various breeds etc so that you would have loads of fry. Is it hard work to raise the little ones, and how do you find shops etc that are interested in buying them. Sorry for all the questions but I am just curious and these are lovely fish going by some of the pics of them. |

| Sorry, i've not noticed these replies The lfs has a funny on with us as we're not buying anything from him, lol. He says he wont take any Cichlids, but he's telling porkies. I will sell them privately. In fact, a nice guy has just been round & bought 10 for his new Cichlid tank. He'll be back for more when his tank is ready to take the next load Motsy...i didn't really set out to breed but i knew they would as they go at it like rabbits. With Cichlids (and many others) you need to buy the correct ratio of male to female or the male will pester the females & stress them & kill them. We got 1m/4f (ish), some are still not at an age where you can tell the sex, some are. We have just had another 50 babies & Ben is busy building all the rock back up. I cleaned out one of the external filters & found 4 babies swimming in the black sludge at the bottom. I dropped one on the floor & it wriggled under the washer so we scooped it out & popped it in a jug to get the muck & fluff off it, lol. It's swimming around now in the fry tank like something possessed. It's easy to raise them, just a case of making sure they have a big water change daily & lots of little feeds. Also you have to make sure the filters can't suck them up. We have a sponge filter in the fry tank which is run off an air pump

| You will be surprised at how much they've grown GD. The interruptus are starting to colour up a bit. I sold 5 last night & wanted to try & give the guy at least 1 male. I think it left one male of the bigger ones in the tank as one turned bluey overnight. I was astonished this morning The one i pulled from under the washer isn't doing too good really (hardly surprising) he's not really swimming about today. I think he was in shock, bless him. He's sooooo tiny too | |

| Well, a quick update. All doing well & growing. The little fella that spent a bit of time on the floor died that day but i still have about 70 in the little tank!! Selling another 10 of the bigger ones tonight or tomorrow. A local guy saw my add on aquarists classified & i am stocking his whole tank. He has just ventured into mbuna after keeping comunity fish for 15yrs. He had 10 last week, 10 this week...hopefully another 10 in a couple more weeks. Need to shift a few more yet though | |

| Well good for you. Glad to hear they're all doing well and that you're managing to sell them bit by bit. Would you have to separate them into different tanks as they get bigger or will they be ok for another while? | |
