Quite usual GD, I've seen this a lot. Just clean it off with a toothbrush (an unused one, obviously!). Wink

I'm only teasing you GD - it usually takes between 20-25 days, I think but there are exceptions to every rule. Wink

meanie!!!! im expecting it to take a lot longer anyway but from 2nd May im off for 7 days hurrrah so I wil be able to stock my tank on day cycle is complete. However 2 days of not being able to see :s due to laser surgery!

But when the tank is ready ill obviously drain 80% of water and give the inside a good scrub down and replace the water THEN hurrrah its fish and plant buying time!

BTW i was at the LFS today and they dont have all the types of fish im after when i stock a tank on day one is it advised to only stock from one LFS? or does that not matter

I suppose the only advantage of stocking from one lfs is that all the fish will have been treated in the same water etc, and so perhaps the risk of disease is lessened a bit than when you add fish from another source. ie, if the fish from lfs 1 are disease free, the fish from lfs 2 might not be?

I don't think it matters too much. I've used several different LFS in my day but the majority of my stock has come from just one. It just depends on what fish you're looking for at the time as not all LFS have the same stock. Wink
